Leticia Gonzalez in Honduras with Missioners of Christ...
Pray for a spiritual and successful mission.
Sacred Heart Parish is asking for your prayers as one of our parishioners, Leticia Gonzales, has joined the group Missioners of Christ in an international mission. She will be serving the people of Honduras by sharing her faith and participating in the Evangelization and Outreach of the people in local villages. Leticia recently graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Spanish and Health. She first learned of the Missioners of Christ through St. Mary's Catholic Church in College Station where she was an active parishioner during her college years. Leticia will have a life-changing mission experience as she shares her faith with others.. Please pray for Leticia. She will be sending us updates of her mission experiences.
                             SACRED HEART PARISH YOUTH PILGRIMAGE
Father Eduardo Ortega lead a youth group on a pilgrimage on December 6, 2014 to the following churches:
Immaculate Conception Church in Brownsville, Texas
St. Joseph Chapel of Perpetual Adoration in Alamo, Texas
Capilla Santa Ana-First Chapel in Roma, Texas
Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Shrine
The group prayed the Liturgy of the Hours and toured each church. Father Eduardo Ortega also lead the group through the Stations of the Cross at the Shrine in San Juan. Everyone admired the Fountain of Holy water and stone where Fr. Eduardo Ortega's family name is displayed. Our youth had a very spiritual learning experience and a great time.
